Metalliform joined the Net Zero Accelerator programme at The Business Village. This initiative is designed to help companies measure and understand their baseline carbon emissions, providing a solid foundation for meaningful environmental change.

Operating from buildings dating back to the 1960s brings unique challenges in our journey toward net zero. However, our commitment is shared company wide. What began with involvement from our Health, Safety, Quality and Environment Manager and Production Engineer has since expanded to include every member of the Metalliform team.

From our sales team working closely with customers on sustainable solutions, to our purchasing team supplying vital data for emissions assessments, and our marketing team sharing our progress, the drive toward sustainability is embedded across all departments.

Even before joining the programme, we were actively reducing our environmental impact through waste control initiatives, investment in electric vehicles, PIR lighting, energy management technologies, and adoption of best practices. The Net Zero Accelerator programme has helped us build on this foundation by providing expert consultancy support and facilitating a thorough energy audit of our premises. These insights have enabled us to explore innovative and practical strategies for further reducing our emissions.

The programme encourages a spirit of openness and shared learning, participants are encouraged to exchange ideas and best practices without hesitation. It's a supportive community where every company, no matter its starting point, is welcomed.
